Me On Sunday

Image
This what happened to me on Sunday, almost every week. ( Please don't pretend that had never happened to you...on Monday if your weekends start on Saturday ) My mind just couldn't focus on one simple dot. My mouth didn't cooperate with my brain, causing slips of the tongue as soon as my lips parted. I was being accident prone, bumping to tables and chairs... and even clumsier, dropping a thing or two to the floor and when I bent down to pick them up, another thing would fall from my hands...geez. Sunday or Monday blues might be different for different people. But for me, it's nothing about being bored. I just love my job, teaching the kids. There was nothing boring in that. Well, maybe waking up early in the morning was boring, but as soon as I stepped into the classroom filled with kids, eager to learn *yeah right* I was becoming enthusiastic. But still, the things I mentioned above would happen. Slips of the tongue, wars among my senses, being accident pro

The Best Comfort Food

Image
Tempting much? A cup full of taste. Rich with passion. A bliss. This is my comfort food. A drink which would definitely comfort me anytime I'm down. To rely on someone to be my shoulder to cry on... I couldn't hope too much. To be away from my loved ones, far from my those who would listen... I only had myself to depend on. I have friends here... But I guess everyone is busy attending their own hectic life. Couldn't blame them though. I'm the one who brought down the wall. Talking about my other side of life... to have others sympathizing over my sorry life saying..."awww...poor hon".. I don't think so. I'm not that pathetic, LOL. So, in exchange I always turned to a cup of chocolate drink when I'm feeling a little in the blue. And that cup of elixir always worked out its wonder. It never failed in elevating my spirit and mood up heaven's high. Anytime I feel down... A cup of this blissful drink is enough to cure everything. Thank yo

A Taste of Love

Alhamdulillah... After cancelling it twice, it finally happened. 'Jamuan Mentee Q4' The time spent preparing the fried mee hoon, the soto, the chocolate marble cheesecakes and peach pudding is really worth it. The kids really enjoyed eating and spending the time together. Seeing Atta, Eza, Edi, and Kerry having their second serving of fried mee hoon, and seeing Fiza and Suliza enjoying their soto after a round of fried mee hoon (so hot the 'sambal' their sweat broke, hehe) while watching Bolt on Disney's channel really made me happy. It feels like family. Edi even fell asleep afterwards...uncaring to the girls sitting around him, LOL. Eza had his sweet time dominating the remote controls, flicking through all channels available. Kerry, as usual, not much of talking...he took up Solusi and started reading. Atta, as merry as ever... The girls, Ika, Fiza, Shud, Liza and Rihan on the other hand showed off their wife materials...doing the dishes, cleaning thing

Drama Queen or King?

Image
Tell me why people refer to an exaggeratedly dramatic person as drama Queen regardless of genders? Why queen? Why not King? Gee...I sounded like a feminist. And though the term defined ANY person could be a drama queen - not only women, we often associated it with females. Try Googling drama queen images and you'd see images of women exaggerating their roles. They either had their mascaras ruined by tears, or their hairs rumpled to shab, or their clothes torn to pieces or their hand on their head, ready to stumble backward...it was just, annoying. Here's one. See what I mean? Don't they see that men can be drama queens too? Just because those female leads are better at shedding tears, then men are not certified to be drama queens? Oh come on! Men COULD be the biggest drama queen. Okay, I might sound unjust here. Men are not supposed to shed tears, so they shouldn't be call drama queens. But aren't men a better actor, especially in real life. When
