Drama Queen or King?

Tell me why people refer to an exaggeratedly dramatic person as drama Queen regardless of genders?
Why queen?
Why not King?
Gee...I sounded like a feminist.

And though the term defined ANY person could be a drama queen - not only women, we often associated it with females. Try Googling drama queen images and you'd see images of women exaggerating their roles. They either had their mascaras ruined by tears, or their hairs rumpled to shab, or their clothes torn to pieces or their hand on their head, ready to stumble backward...it was just, annoying.

Here's one.

See what I mean?

Don't they see that men can be drama queens too?

Just because those female leads are better at shedding tears, then men are not certified to be drama queens?

Oh come on! Men COULD be the biggest drama queen.

Okay, I might sound unjust here. Men are not supposed to shed tears, so they shouldn't be call drama queens.

But aren't men a better actor, especially in real life. When they shed tears - crocodile's tears I meant - they could fool everybody around them. With a sad old story, with a little persuasion, everyone would fall to their feet. We women are natural sympathizers. We always feel sorry first and would regret later...just because we're so full of sympathy and feelings towards any living beings.

And since we thought men are not supposed to cry, we fall head over heels when they do. We'd just go...."awwww, poor baby". Pffft!

Unbelievable?
Try this. If you have a crush, go to her and tell her you're having a terminal disease and are not going to live for long. Instead of shooing you off, 90% of them will start cooing and coodling you like a baby, telling everything is going to be okay and you'll heal. Sooner or later, they'd get too acquinted with you and fall for you without them ever remembering why.

So, what with the drama Queen?!

Why not King?

Okay...okay *takes a deep breath*
I'm lashing out here.

*reads back*

Gee! I sounded like a feminist *rolls eyes*
