Where Are You? Where Am I?

~And I'll never see those days again
And things will never be that way again
But thats just how it goes,
People change,
But I know
I wont forget you~

Where are you now by
Honor Society

People really changed.
Ordinary people like you and me.

We gave out promises to that someone that we would never forget him or her.
We promised that we would be there for them,
that they would feel our presence anywhere they go
and everytime they need a shoulder to cry on,
that every secrets and problems are worth sharing with,
that we would love them like no one will ever do,
that they are going to remain the best thing that ever happened to us,
and more promises that we thought we could keep...
We said those were promises from the heart
and we would never betray them.
And then we parted...hundreds or thousands miles away.
Reaching out for each other was impossible.
Time passed, days went by,
and the promises that we
kept deep in the bottom of our heart
were soon forgotten.
Oh! Don't worry.

They're still there in our heart
but like any other precious things
that we kept in our closets or underneath or beds,
we kept them hidden too long
we soon forgot to polish and to maintain them.
Thus, the precious things turned into something old and tarnished,
covered with dust, spots and dirts.
What seemed to be golden during those previous times
were no longer glittering like they were supposed to be.
Next, we even forgot they were even there.
Just like the promises we made.
We made them and kept them deep in our heart
and them we let them be buried in too long
we immediately forgotten that they were there.

The people that we promised to...
What happened to them?
Do they kept the promises in the bottom of their hearts too?
If they did, then there is nothing we should be worried of...
But what if they didn't?

So, where are you now?
And where did you keep your promises?
Have you checked the bottom of your heart lately?
